Small Business Saturday: 4th December

Now in its ninth year in the UK, the Small Business Saturday campaign has grown significantly with a record £1.1 billion spent with small businesses on Small Business Saturday in 2020, and 15.4 million people choosing to shop small.

The 4th December marks Small Business Saturday, a grassroots, non-commercial campaign, which celebrates small business success and encourages consumers to ‘shop local’ and to support businesses in their communities.

 

This year, Small Business Saturday is calling on the nation to share a ‘big thank you’ with small firms to recognise their vital role throughout the pandemic.

 

How can you get involved?

  1. Use the Small Business Saturday Finder tool, , to find local retailers near you;
  2. If you are a local business, sign up to the service for free, ;
  3. Share your support for local businesses near you on social media using #CelebrateLocal and #ShopLocal.
