L’Oréal Appoints New CEO

L’Oréal have confirmed that Nicolas Hieronimus will become the group’s CEO from May 2021.

L’Oréal have split the role of Chairman and CEO; current CEO Jean-Paul Agon will remain Chairman of the group. Agon is required to step away from their CEO duties before turning 65 in July 2021.

 

Hieronimus, who has been with L’Oréal for 33 years, has been deputy CEO of the group since 2017. With his promotion to group CEO, Barbara Lavernos will become Deputy CEO.

[…] Nicolas Hieronimus is also perfectly prepared for the role, given an exemplary career of more than 30 years within the group with major successes, most notably at the helm of the L’Oréal Luxe Division. For the last three years, he has played a key role by my side as deputy ceo,to animate our operational divisions, especially in the period of crisis that we have been traversing for several months.”
