Can beauty be a key to social reintegration for women after prison?

Was interested to read a feature by Lexy Lebsack that talks about the role beauty is starting to play in supporting female prisoner reform in the US. A growing number of correctional centres are opening hair design & makeup programmes for women to give them a better chance of independence & rehab when they leave. At one institution, only 6 women out of 89 who graduated from a hair design course returned to prison. Read the full feature on Refinery29 UK site.
